Open Government Partnership: The OGP Independent Review Mechanism is looking for individuals to carry out research at the national level for 34 countries. The reviewers will assess government progress on implementation of OGP action plans. The list of countries for which researchers are sought for this call are: Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Finland, Ghana, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Kenya, Liberia, Macedonia, Malawi, Malta, Mongolia, New Zealand, Panama, Peru, Romania, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.

OGP: Registration for the Europe OGP meeting in Dublin, May 8-9 is now live.

United Kingdom: The UK Information Commissioner’s Office has issued new guidance to public authorities on how to recognize requests made under the Freedom of Information Act. Among other things, it says that agencies can refuse freedom of information requests from Twitter accounts where the requester’s real name is not provided.

Canada: An analysis by The Canadian Press of thousands of FOI requests indicates 20 per cent of all requests for non-personal information end with no records located.
