The FOI Center of Armenia has won a court case in which it sought access to information on spending in a pre-electoral campaign, according to an FOICA announcement.
The court ruled on Dec. 21, 2012, that the Democratic Party of Armenia must provide information requested by the FOICA on April 25. The party ignored the FOI Center’s requests.
The political party also is obliged to pay 100,000 AMD ($245) to the FOICA to compendate for court costs.
This was the second court decision in which FOIC was awarded compensation for cover judicial expenses.
On Nov. 23, a court ordered the “environmental project implementation unit” state agency to provide all the requested information regarding the bonuses paid to employees, according to a FOICA announcement.
