The Obama administration has put an “impressive amount of effort” into fulfilling the commitments made in the U.S. national action plan, created as a member of the multilateral Open Government Partnership, according to an assessment by a watchdog group.
The progress report by OpenTheGovernment.org and others organizations evaluates the administration’s implementation of the plan so far. It was unveiled about a year ago with a January 2013 date for enactment.
The administration has “met” eight of the 26 commitments it made and “partially met” five others, according to a spreadsheet in the report. The wide-ranging promises mostly relate to public participation, government transparency, and access to government information.
